What we do
A year-round calendar, not an election-year campaign.
OGWN runs 6 programmes designed to move young people from political awareness to political action — in schools, in communities, in town halls and online.
Flagship · Every August
International Youth Day Summit
Held every August, the Summit is where the year's conversation about youth political participation comes together. Past editions have centred on “The Importance of Youth Participation in Electoral Processes,” convening students, young professionals, first-time voters and political stakeholders for a day of panels, workshops and open dialogue on why the youth vote — and the youth voice — matters.

Schools & communities
Political Literacy Workshops
Delivered in schools, tertiary institutions and community centres across Ogun State, these sessions strip the jargon out of politics. Participants leave understanding how government is structured, how elections are actually run, and — the part most civic education skips — how ordinary citizens hold leaders accountable in the years between elections.

Timed to INEC windows
Voter Education & Registration Drives
Timed around INEC registration windows, our drives meet young people where they already are. We help eligible youths get their Permanent Voter Cards, and make sure nobody arrives on election day unsure of how, when or where to vote.

Face-to-face accountability
Youth Town Halls
Town halls move political engagement off the timeline and into the room. Young people put their questions directly to local government officials, lawmakers and political aspirants — turning social media complaints into face-to-face accountability.

Structured mentorship track
Leadership & Mentorship Bootcamp
For young people who have decided that watching is not enough. The bootcamp is a structured mentorship track that pairs aspiring candidates, party organisers and future public servants with experienced political and civic leaders from across Ogun State.

Online · Every week
The OGWN Weekly Series
Every week, we profile a young Ogun indigene doing notable work in activism, public service or politics. It is the simplest argument we make: youth leadership in Ogun State is not hypothetical, and here is this week's proof.
